What Job Watch collects, why it collects it, who it is shared with, and how to have it deleted.
This page is not ready to publish yet.
The operating entity’s postal address, contact email, registered legal name are not configured, so the details below are incomplete. Set the NEXT_PUBLIC_BRAND_LEGAL_* environment variables and rebuild.
1. Who is responsible
Job Watch is the controller of the personal data described here. Contact: support@example.com.
2. What we collect
- Account data — your email address, your name if you provide one, and a securely hashed password (or, if you sign in with a provider, the identifier that provider returns). We never store a readable password.
- Your monitoring setup — the companies you choose to watch, your keyword and location filters, your match mode and how often you want to be emailed.
- Delivery records — which roles were sent to you and when, so the same role is never emailed twice.
- Billing data — a customer and subscription identifier from Stripe, your plan, and its status. We never receive or store your card number. Card details are entered on Stripe’s own checkout page and stay with Stripe.
- Operational logs — ordinary server logs needed to run and debug the service.
We do not ask for, store, or read your CV. We do not build a profile of you beyond the filters you type in yourself, and we do not sell or rent personal data to anyone.
3. Why we can use it (legal bases)
- Performance of a contract — account data and your monitoring setup exist because they are the service you asked for.
- Legal obligation — billing records are kept for the period tax law requires.
- Legitimate interests — keeping the service secure, preventing abuse, and fixing faults.
4. Who it is shared with
Only the processors needed to operate the service, each handling one narrow job:
- Stripe — payments and subscriptions. Receives your email address and payment details.
- Our email provider — sends your alerts, password resets and billing notices. Receives your email address and the contents of those messages.
- Our hosting provider — runs the servers and the database in Europe.
- An AI model provider — used only to interpret the layout of career pages we cannot read with a standard connector. It receives the public content of those career pages. It does not receive your email address, your filters, or any other account data.
We do not use advertising networks, and the site sets no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
5. Cookies
We set one kind of cookie: the session cookie that keeps you signed in after you log in. It is necessary for the service to function and is not used to track you across other websites.
6. How long we keep it
- While your account exists — account data, monitors and delivery history, so alerts stay accurate and are not repeated.
- After deletion — account data and monitors are removed. Billing records are retained where tax or accounting law requires it.
- Job listings themselves are not personal data — they are public postings from company career pages.
7. Your rights
Under the GDPR and Swiss data protection law you can ask for a copy of your data, correct it, have it deleted, restrict or object to its processing, or receive it in a portable format. You can export your monitors from the dashboard at any time, and delete your account yourself.
For anything else, email support@example.com and we will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to complain to your national data protection authority.
8. Security and transfers
Data is held on servers in Europe, transmitted over encrypted connections, and passwords are stored only as salted hashes. Where a processor operates outside the EU/EEA or Switzerland, the transfer relies on the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses or an equivalent safeguard.
9. Changes
If this policy changes materially we will tell you by email before the change takes effect. See also our Terms of Service.
